>Dear Members and friends of the Vihara,
Buddhist Vihara resident monks and the Washington Buddhist Vihara Society Inc. cordially invite you and your family members to attend the annual Kathina ceremony (Robe Offering Ceremony) to be held on Sunday, October 15th at the new Meditation Center of the Vihara.
This year Most Ven. Maharagama Dhammasiri Nayaka Thera, Ven. Dikwelle Sudhamma (M.A.) Thera, Ven. Pandit Ambewela Mahanama Thera, and Ven. Alupotha Dhammarathana Thero observed Vassa at our Vihara.
This year Kathina ceremony will be sponsored by our Burmese friends Nyi Lay Maung & Zarni Lin Family, Dr.Wa Wa & Nu Nu, Aung Kyaw Nyunt & Soe Soe Win Family, Wai Phyo & Soe Soe Than Family, the members of Burmese community in the Washington Metropolitan Area together with the devotees of the Vihara.

Date: October 15, 2017
- 10:30 AM Buddha Pooja
- 11:00 AM Dana for the monks.
- 12:00 PM Lunch for the laity.
- 01:00 PM Kathina Robe offering followed by special Dhamma talk by Ven. Mandawala Pannawansa Maha Thero. (Meditation Master of the Vihara)
As you are aware Kathina marks the end of annual Vassana. Over 25 members of Maha Sangha from various Viharas are expected to participate in this great meritorious event. Please come and join us in this great meritorious event.
